About
I am Sharon, a highly skilled and accomplished UK MBACP(British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) Psychotherapist, British Psychology Graduate Member, and a Mental Health Mentor. With nearly 20 years of experience in educational settings and private practice, I work intuitively to help you understand your emotional and cognitive processes, enabling therapeutic growth and freedom. As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on insights from various therapeutic approaches to create a holistic and transformative path to healing.
In our sessions, I foster a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your innermost thoughts and feelings with authenticity. By delving into the unconscious mind and exploring the impact of early childhood experiences and attachment theory, I help you uncover the underlying factors influencing your current struggles. I integrate principles of awareness, personal responsibility, and the holistic nature of human experience to empower you on your journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation.
I am dedicated to supporting individuals with complex needs. Please feel free to reach out for an initial conversation about any of the following: ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Addictions, Anger, Anticipatory Grief, Attachment Issues, Bereavement, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Depression, Disabilities, Dyslexia, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotional Dysregulation, Grief, Mental Health, Narcissism, OCD, Phobias, and Trauma.
“When you are in psychological distress and someone really hears you without passing judgement on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mould you, it feels damn good!”
— Carl Rodgers
Background
I am a qualified Psychotherapist registered with The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy BACP(391907) since 2008.
Working within educational settings and private practice, nurturing the growth and well-being of young minds and individuals with complex needs. My experience includes being a BACP Psychotherapist, a British Psychology Graduate Member, and a UMHAN Mental Health Mentor. Throughout my career, I have always placed people's emotional and developmental needs at the forefront of my work, whether in one-on-one sessions, group therapy, or mentoring.
Working within a multicultural and diverse community has deepened my understanding and enriched my practice, allowing me to offer a more holistic and transformative approach to healing.
As life constantly evolves, it is essential to take the time to explore what truly matters to you. I invite you to join me in a therapeutic journey where we can focus on your personal growth, healing, and transformation.
Training
My training spans a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including integrative psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy, person centred therapy, and Gestault therapy.
This diverse training is complemented by my own personal therapy journey, which has deepened my understanding and empathy in my work with clients.
I am currently expanding my expertise by exploring the somatic implications of trauma and healing. “Why people don’t heal and how they hold the pain in their bodies”.
